The yellow house with green trim in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood was the Parker family exterior in A Christmas Story (1983). Wikipedia says it provided the exterior and some interiors, while most interior scenes were filmed on a sound stage in Toronto. The attraction now goes by “House from A Christmas Story” and includes a guided tour, a museum of props across the street, a gift shop and overnight stays.
As of October 2026 the official site lists it as open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with longer hours around Thanksgiving week and a short list of closure days. Tickets are purchased online for set tour times, guests should arrive about 10 minutes early, and the page recommends allowing 2 to 3 hours. Private group tours are not available in November and December.
The house sits in a residential neighborhood, so park only where signs allow and keep noise down. Our A Christmas Story House visitor guide covers booking rules, accessibility and nearby Cleveland sites.
