The McCallister house exterior in Home Alone (1990) is a private home on Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, Illinois. The Winnetka Historical Society describes it as a brick Georgian built in 1920. This listing gives the street only and does not give a house number, and the map pin marks the street rather than the home.
The house does not open to visitors. Most interiors were built on a sound stage in the former gym of New Trier High School’s west campus, per Wikipedia, and only the staircase, attic and first-floor landing were filmed in the real house. It sold in January 2025 and the interior has been renovated.
You can photograph it from the public sidewalk, but stay off the lawn, driveway and steps, keep your voice down, and do not fly a drone. Read our Home Alone house guide and filming location etiquette guide before you go.
