Corrections Policy

We aim to be accurate, and we want to know when we are not. This policy explains how to report an error and what we do when one is confirmed.

How to report an error

Email [email protected] with the subject line “Correction” and include:

  1. The address of the article or page.
  2. The text that you believe is wrong or outdated.
  3. What you believe is correct.
  4. A link to a source that supports the correction, if you have one. Official venue, tourism and government pages are the most helpful.

If you are the owner or resident of a property we mention and are concerned about privacy or safety, use the subject line “Privacy” instead. We treat those reports as a priority.

What we do next

  • We review the report. We check it against the original sources and against any new source you provide.
  • We correct confirmed errors promptly. Factual errors, broken or wrong links, and outdated details are fixed as soon as we can verify the right information.
  • We act quickly on privacy and safety issues. If an article contains information that could expose a private home or a person to harm, we remove or change it first and investigate afterward if needed.
  • We may reply. We cannot promise a reply to every message, but we aim to let you know when a correction has been made.

How corrections are noted

  • Substantive corrections that change the meaning of an article, such as a wrong location, a wrong date or an incorrect claim, are noted on the article with a short update or correction note that says what changed and when.
  • Minor fixes, such as typos, formatting and link repairs, are made without a separate note.
  • Time-sensitive details, such as hours, prices and event dates, are updated in place and carry the date they were last checked where relevant.

When we disagree

If we have checked and believe the article is accurate, we will keep it as written. We may add context, such as noting that sources differ. If you disagree, you are welcome to reply with additional sources and we will take another look.
