Wednesday Season 3 Spotted Filming in Paris — Jenna Ortega, Fred Armisen, and Tim Burton Hit the Streets of France

Netflix’s hit dark comedy series Wednesday is taking its gothic charm to one of the most romantic cities in the world — and the results look absolutely incredible.

Production for Wednesday Season 3 has officially moved to Paris, France, marking a major shift from the show’s usual filming base in Ireland. According to local reports out of France and confirmed by What’s on Netflix, the crew began shooting in the French capital on April 18, 2026, with on-location filming expected to wrap on April 20, 2026.

Jenna Ortega was spotted back in her now-iconic black-and-white outfit — complete with bangs — filming scenes along the cobblestone streets beside the river Seine in central Paris. Fans of the show will also be happy to know that Fred Armisen is back as Uncle Fester, bringing his signature wild energy all the way to Europe.

Behind the camera, executive producer and director Tim Burton was seen actively overseeing the shoot. According to a clapperboard captured on set, Burton is directing the sequence alongside acclaimed cinematographer PJ Dillon. The slate revealed they were shooting scene V103, believed to be a visually heavy moment from the third episode, captured at a standard cinematic 23.976 frames per second using the “B” camera on roll 501. The iconic Wednesday motorcycle, complete with its sidepod, was also visible on set.

This Paris shoot is just one piece of a much larger and more exciting Season 3. The new season has already generated massive buzz thanks to a string of high-profile casting announcements.

Winona Ryder — a longtime Tim Burton collaborator known for Stranger Things and Beetlejuice — has officially joined the cast. She is coming in alongside Game of Thrones star Lena Headey, 80s icon Andrew McCarthy, and Ted Lasso actor James Lance. All three have been cast in roles that are being kept tightly under wraps for now.

On the flip side, it has been confirmed that Noah B. Taylor has exited the series.

Netflix also recently released a mysterious casting video packed with hidden letters, which quickly sent fans into a frenzy online. Theories are flying — some believe the letters hint at a secret family reveal, others think it points to a new outcast society operating somewhere in Europe, and some fans believe it teases the identity of a new villain targeting Wednesday.

With production actively rolling across Europe, the biggest question fans are asking is: when does it premiere? Given the large scale of this season and the international filming locations, a lengthy post-production period is expected. While Netflix has not announced an official release date, a mid-2027 debut is widely anticipated.

For now, fans can enjoy the behind-the-scenes glimpse of Wednesday Addams and Uncle Fester bringing their uniquely dark energy to the streets of France.
