Old Town Hall at 32 Derby Square in Salem, Massachusetts, is where the costume party in Hocus Pocus (1993) was filmed, including the scene in which Winifred sings “I Put a Spell on You.” The Federal-style building dates to 1816.
It no longer handles city business and now works as a cultural and rental venue. You can see the exterior any time. Destination Salem says a seasonal Salem 400+ gift shop and welcome center operates inside for the summer and fall, with hours listed as limited to Thursday through Sunday as of October 2026. The building is often closed for private events, and the listing shows Haunted Happenings events there from October 16 to November 1, 2026.
