Pioneer Village at 98 West Avenue in Forest River Park, Salem, Massachusetts, is where the 1693 opening of Hocus Pocus (1993) was filmed. Destination Salem says the village was built in 1930, and it operates today as a living history museum interpreting Salem in 1630.
As of October 2026, the official site lists a 2026 season from June 6 to November 15, open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m., with last entry at 3:45 p.m. Tickets are sold through a separate page that the site links to, so confirm prices and any special October programming there before you go.
Pioneer Village is a short drive or rideshare from downtown Salem. Our Hocus Pocus filming locations guide has a one-day route that fits it in on a weekend afternoon.
