Fans of The Real Housewives of Miami may have to wait a little longer for the next season. Reports say that filming for Season 8 has been delayed while producers decide whether to make major changes to the cast.
The hit reality show airs on Bravo and follows the personal and professional lives of several women living in Miami. The most recent season ended in October 2025 with a dramatic three-part reunion.
According to Page Six reports, some stars might not return for the next season. Two cast members whose futures are uncertain are Guerdy Abraira and Julia Lemigova. The two women had several disagreements during Season 7, and insiders say producers are now considering whether changes are needed to keep the show fresh.
Another cast member, Stephanie Shojaee, is also reportedly unsure if she wants to return for another season.
Behind the scenes, producers are also dealing with other complications. A lawsuit involving Todd Nepola — who was previously married to cast member Alexia Nepola — created some uncertainty for the production team. Even though the legal issue was later dropped, it added another challenge while planning the new season.
Another factor being considered is how the cast performed at BravoCon 2025, a fan event where stars from many Bravo shows meet viewers. Some insiders say the Real Housewives of Miami panel was not as exciting as expected, which may have influenced producers to rethink the lineup.
Despite the delay, the show is not canceled. In fact, Andy Cohen recently said on his SiriusXM radio show that the network still loves the Miami franchise. He explained that sometimes taking extra time between seasons can help the show return stronger.
For now, filming dates for Season 8 have not been confirmed, and new contracts for the cast have not yet been sent out. Producers are reportedly working carefully to build the best lineup before cameras start rolling again.
