The Ropes Mansion at 318 Essex Street in Salem, Massachusetts, is the exterior of Allison’s house in Hocus Pocus (1993). The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) owns the property.
The surrounding garden is the part most visitors can enter freely. According to PEM, it is open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk at no charge, and leashed dogs are allowed. The mansion interior is open for tours only in season: PEM listed tours through October 18, 2026, with no daily times on its page, so check PEM’s historic houses page before you go.
